Franky Kentish, Community Manager at 10x, and Lisa Gooch, People Business Partner, talk through the People Team’s flexible approach to staff benefits.
An excellent benefits package is vital to attracting and keeping great people and improving their wellbeing. However, a cookie-cutter approach to benefits is limiting. For example, what works for a recent graduate might not enthuse an established leader with a family.
10x is powered by innovative and ambitious people. While united by a common goal to make banking 10x better, we appreciate that every 10xer is an individual. We want to empower every employee to work and live 10x better in whatever way works for them.
Alongside our flexible working policy, our teams based in Australia have generous holiday, parental and sick leave, but we wanted to do more. So with that in mind, we’re incredibly excited to announce the launch of our new flexible benefits package for 10xers in Australia.
When revamping our benefits package, we asked the team what they would like. The results were incredibly varied, and we discovered that great employee benefits mean something different to everyone.
As a company that strives to foster a diverse and inclusive culture, we needed to find a benefits solution that celebrated this in a meaningful way.
Flexibility is key
The employee benefits platform Ben is the solution we landed on. It gives 10xers in Australia a flexible allowance to use each month in whichever way works for them. 10xers can spend this allowance on a variety of benefits, including:
- Gym memberships
- Health insurance
- Netflix/Spotify/Audible subscriptions
- Food deliveries
- Retail vouchers.
The flexible allowances empower our team to look after their health and wellbeing in the best way for them. This could mean using it to treat a friend to dinner, buying concert or theatre tickets, or even an overnight stay somewhere new.
Every 10xer is different, and now their benefits are too.
