Life at 10x

Our progress on the Women in Finance Charter

Written by 10x | 22 December 2025

At 10x Banking, we’re proud to be a signatory to the Women in Finance Charter, reaffirming our commitment to building a more inclusive financial services industry. Each year, we publish an update on our progress against the targets we’ve set for female representation in senior management. Here’s where we stand today.

Our target

We’ve committed to increasing female representation in senior management to 25% by July 2026. We define senior management as leadership levels 6–8 in our career leveling framework. This target reflects our ambition to create meaningful change while remaining achievable given our company size.

Current position

As of August 2025, (we submitted our results to the Women in Finance Charter in September) women make up:

  • 20% of senior management (down from 23% last year)
  • 25% of our total workforce
  • 43% of our Executive Committee, our highest leadership tier (up from 33% last year)

While female representation in senior management has dipped, the increase at Executive Committee level is a significant step forward. This progress at the very top reflects our commitment to building a leadership team that better represents the diversity of our communities. We remain focused on achieving our target and driving improvement across all leadership tiers in 2026.

What we're doing

We’re taking a three-pronged approach to reach our targets. We will develop the pipeline of future talent, attract women to join us, and invest in the growth of the talented women already at 10x.

Developing the next generation of talent

To ensure more women reach leadership roles, we need a strong pipeline of women inspired to enter the industry. In 2026, we’ll continue our outreach to young people and students through initiatives that provide real-world exposure to careers in fintech, including:

  • Week-long work experience program with students from partner schools and organizations
  • Career insights days with our partner school, Pimlico Academy
  • Virtual insights sessions with Manchester Metropolitan University

Our 2025 work experience cohort on a trip, organized by 10x, to the Old Bailey

These programs are designed to spark interest, build confidence, and show the breadth of opportunities available in technology and financial services. By engaging early, we aim to help shape the next generation of diverse leaders.

Attracting the best talent

We remain committed to hiring the best talent while improving gender representation across all levels. Our Talent Acquisition and Communications teams are working to attract more women to 10x through a social media campaign that showcases the many benefits of working here and the women who thrive in our business. This campaign will highlight our:

  • Agile and remote-enabled working policies that empower balance and choice
  • Enhanced parental pay and family-friendly benefits, including time off for fertility treatment and pregnancy loss
  • Learning and development opportunities, including spotlighting successful career journeys at 10x
  • Our employee-led networks, including our Women & Friends network, which ensure every voice is heard at 10x

Retaining the best talent

In 2025, we hosted a series of gender parity roundtables with leaders from across financial services to explore opportunities for progress and share best practices. We also ran an internal survey to hear directly from women at 10x about what would help them thrive and advance.

In response to these insights, we launched two dedicated programs designed to accelerate progress:

  • Communicating with confidence: A workshop series open to 10xers of all genders and levels, shaped by feedback from our survey. Our first session, led by public speaking expert Amber Shand, was an impactful start.
  • Rise: A program designed to support women in middle management by unlocking leadership potential through practical tools, coaching, strategic career planning, and a powerful peer network. Shaped by our roundtable discussions, Rise will be open to women both within 10x and externally.

Our first Communicating with Confidence workshop

We’ll also continue to build the 10x community through our Women & Friends network, hosting lunches, socials, and other events throughout the year to foster connection, support, and shared learning.

We believe these initiatives, combined with our inclusive policies and authentic storytelling, will help us meet our target and foster a culture where talent thrives regardless of gender.
