About the role

Delivering the very best new banking platform is the heart of the 10x proposition. For the majority of banking customers, the way banking services are designed and consumed has changed forever. Yet we believe there is so much more that can be delivered, and our platform capabilities are key to that new consumer experience.  Join us and you will help define a digital banking platform that is second to none and at the forefront of innovation in global banking and the wider FinTech sector.

This is a unique opportunity to drive the overall design direction of our platform product for the bank (client) internal development users. We are looking for an outstanding individual with drive, vision and experience to deliver a new experience for our client’s development colleagues and partners.

We are looking for candidates with a background in digital transformation, financial services and platform/API product management with an outstanding track record of delivery. Product managers at 10x are our upcoming Product Owners and will experience the full end-to-end lifecycle from design to code to client experience.

We are delivering something truly unique in financial services, a platform that enables end to end customer product lifecycle management with embedded tools and capabilities to visualise, manage and monitor risks associated with the day-to-day operation and execution.

At the heart of enabling a leading platform business are our client facing development tools and principally our public APIs and SDKs. We want to build on an industry leading set of APIs that enable our clients to build and launch their banking services seamlessly.


  • Establish a comprehensive core capability for the 10x proposition, that is compliant against today’s banking environment, while being sufficiently flexible to accommodate the needs of our clients in the future.
  • Work closely with the domain Product Owner and jointly define a clear, pragmatic and prioritised product backlog and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with analysts, architects and developers across the business to ensure coherent mapping of requirements to your 10x product domain.
  • Clearly communicate project status and technical concepts with others.
  • Contribute to design of new functionality and expanding existing functionality, applying a value lens to your product domain.
  • Work collaboratively with your engineering feature team to design and develop your product.
  • Become the Subject Matter Expert for the Product and Platform capability with the ability to present that solution to a wide range of audiences, from technical to business managers; from our engineering team to our customers' digital banking executives; internally and externally to the business.


Essential skills/experience

  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in digital banking, transformation delivery, management or technology consulting
  • API developer experience
  • Expertise in API definition and usage
  • Experience in integration of 3rd party solutions advantage
  • In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies & disciplines
  • Demonstrable high levels of integrity and desire to make a positive impact within the business and society
  • An enthusiastic self-starter who looks for new ways of working, explores best practices and delivers imaginative approaches to communication challenges
  • An enthusiastic team player excited by the prospect of being a key member of a financial services technology firm that is working to transform the industry
  • Experience working collaboratively in a cross functional team

Desired skills/experience

  • Developer and Technical background
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate complex functional and technical requirements
  • Experience in dynamic, digital, entrepreneurial businesses
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and comfortable working with and coaching, in-house and off-shore teams

Domain Expertise

This role will encompass all the attributes aligned to the Product Manager skill-set, however the successful candidate will possess a more technical background that enables the successful delivery of the 10x Platform from a public API perspective.

Key domain level attributes are:

  • Proven experience of modern API technologies and how to create the requirement for and maintain API with the technical service layer
  • Coverage of working across greenfield transformation programmes and how modern APIs for customers and clients are manifested through the delivery cycle
  • Exposure to micro-service platform architectures and ability to work with and create technical specifications i.e. API Contracts, Back-end services, SDKs
  • Experience in working across digital portal development with an ability to demonstrate customer information exchange through innovative portal service provision
  • Understanding of Software Development Kits (SDKs) and how they are used, both in requirement specification and in delivery of functionality
  • Digital product development, data and technical experience through the agile development lifecycle, preferably aligned to retail banking
